What better way to return to work after the summer holidays than with some photos of a super cool exhibition stand we’ve designed for our client BFF Pet Toys!

We are LOVING this pet toy stand design complete with novelty moustaches, a branded selfie frame, cardboard cubes and promo caps speedily manufactured over in China by our client Jack Beanie. It’s purrrrr-fect (hehe).

We even organised some lovely branded lollies made by Willow and Boo who we met years ago when we were finalists together for the National Mumpreneur awards!

In truth, anything that involves animals, selfies and amusing moustaches / Mountie hats on sticks is clearly going to delight us.

OMG the pet selfies!

Some of you might remember the cat and dog selfie photos we requested AGES ago on our Facebook page - the photos have finally been chosen and used on real pet toys in the USA and Canada!

If you want to get involved in fun projects like this (and get your pet selfie on packaging all over America and Canada) then make sure you like our page on Facebook!

As you might know (if you follow us on our social media stuff) we love Cumbria and we love clothes. So, when Cumbrian based Amy from Little Ted Clothing asked us to help with a website for her kidswear brand we were pretty damn excitable.

We had both been following Amy on Facebook for a while because:

1) Her reversible handmade children's clothing is super cute (seriously, we heart the mustard bird pinafores).

2) Her social media is fun and her posts make us laugh.

3) Amy actually grew up in the same TINY village as us (well, it's more of a hamlet) in rural West Cumbria!

In true Fi & Becs style, we chatted to Amy all about her business and her brand and the first thing we actually ended up helping with was a brand refresh. Amy loved the Little-Ted-bear-on-a-red-tractor-design and she didn't want to lose his personality so we gave him a nice scrubbing up - softening his edges and giving him handmade vibe.

Once we had refreshed the logo we moved onto the website and the wording. Amy's wanted her website to feel "simple, friendly and fun" so we created a clean, fresh and giggle-filled website design with kid-inspired wording.

Here is an example of the design and wording we used on the Home page banners:

We LOVED the photography that Amy gave us to build the site as it really brought her clothing to life and gave us the inspiration for all of the copywriting and product descriptions!

For example...

"Little Ted Clothing make kid-friendly, fun and adventuresome clothing for little girls and boys. Inspired by farm yards, playtime and fresh air (after all - we're based in Cumbria!) we believe in letting children be whoever they want to be."

"Pop her into a versatile Pinafore with this stunning on-trend mustard print dress. Perfect for grubby afternoons or super cute party-wear, these quirky birds in wellingtons are guaranteed to make her (and you) grin."

So it is with pure glee that we announce the launch of Little Ted Clothing's FIRST EVER website today! Hoooray!

Have a nosey around Amy's amazing, reversible clothing for yourself:

P.S. Amy also makes totally bespoke designs so don't be surprised if you see Becs wearing one of her 'Pinafore Meet Mustard Birds' dresses at some point in the near future.

Over the last three years we have designed SO MANY logos and brands for businesses. From nervous start-ups to huge corporate re-brands, we love creating memorable brands which give businesses a personality. It's our fave.

We both believe that beautiful brands make the world go round. (No really - they do.) Logos should be clever little visual wizards… making customers fall in love with your products, encouraging clients to trust your credibility and giving people an instant glimpse into your business’ personality.

That's why when we usually design branding for a client we sculpt our ideas around their story, their products and their business’ identity. In fact - you can take a peek at our branding page of examples of our bespoke branding work.

However… for the last 18 months we have had an increasing number of clients (usually small and start-up businesses) asking us for last minute logos. Some of them literally need logos designed THAT DAY... Argh! Although we are fast little workers, we cannot design logos instantly (we do sometimes need to sleep, complete our other work and feed our children), so… we came up with the idea of the Quick Logo Lab!

The Quick Logo Lab is our quick pit stop for people who need a logo INSTANTLY (aka within 48 hours).

Here is some more info about our Quick Logo Lab:

All of the logos in our Lab have been designed by us and are only sold once. The designs are creative and inventively designed around current trends or ideas we've had.

Simply pick your fave and pay your deposit online using our secure payment portal. Colours, wording and icons (if applicable) can be adjusted to suit your business. The prices reflect the how speedily we will have to work to produce your logo quickity-split!

We are so excited! For the last six months this idea has been rattling around in our heads and now it is finally launched. We hope it will be a really useful service for our clients and we're both wondering which logo will sell first...

If you have any questions about our Quick Logo Lab please get in touch with us!

This morning we are feeling happy (and it's not just because of the sunshine... finally some blue skies!) because we LOVE it when a client really embraces a brand that we have designed for them!

A couple of months ago Kate Bentley (and her partner Phil) got in touch with us because she had a very exciting plan - to leave her job in the law profession and start a brand new dog walking, boarding and pet sitting business.

After talking with Kate and Phil about their plans, and meeting their adorable dog Mauro (inspiration for the business' name) we developed some logo ideas and finalised a lovely brand complete with a dog, wellies and an umbrella - perfect for the Manchester weather!

We have been so pleased to see how Kate and Phil have embraced their branding on their social media accounts (check them out on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram), on their business stationery (also designed by us) and on some bright pink new hoodies!

We ADORE consistent, distinctive branding and it fills us with joy when a client uses their brand to it's full potential - good dog Mauro!

We are working on a website for Friends of Mauro at the moment, so watch this space for some barkingly brilliant (and branded) website design to be launched soon!

It seems highly appropriate that on a sunny morning we have a bright, sporty website to launch for BEactive!

BEactive, based in Northamptonshire are a school lettings company that help schools and collages maximise the community use of their sports facilities, i.e. rent out their sports halls, swimming pools and football pitches. They got in touch with us in 2016 because they needed to re-design their old website which had grown old and outdated.

Making sure that the website was user friendly and unisex (to match their brief!) we designed it with a fresh, sporty and bright look.

What we really enjoyed about designing this website was the fun of creating all the little extras that we did without being asked! For example... the little icons that showcase the schools facilites, and the new logos that supported the ethos of the brand: "BEfit, BEactive, BEsocial".

Having grown up in the Cumbrian countryside with a family ritual of Sunday lunches at the local pub, we both love a good country pub. So we were very excited when Lynda from the Railway Inn in Mobberley got in touch with us looking for some new branding, a new website and general help with all things marketingy!

The first job we worked on with the Railway Inn was to develop them a new brand as they were using lots of different styles on their posters, menus signs etc. This was a great job because Lynda and Tony didn't have a strong idea of what they were looking for - so we had lots of lovely creative freedom!

Brilliantly Lynda and Tony actually got their customers in the pub to vote on which was their favourite logo design and the one shown above was chosen! Once the new Railway Inn logo was launched (and loved by the pub!) we started work on their posters and Light Bites Menu... giving them a friendly, welcoming look and feel which matched their new brand.

With the posters and menu designed and in use... we turned our attentions to the Railway Inn's new website. The Railway Inn already had a website, but they wanted a fresh look to show off their lovely country pub and a website they could update easily with their events info.

Following our advice (as we realised they could do with some great photography!) Lynda at the Railway Inn worked with a great local photographer Kanashay Photography who produced some gorgeous photos of the pub - a delight to use when designing the new website!

The new Railway Inn website has launched today and we are very excited to introduce it to the world - we shall we having a pint this evening to celebrate!

We were recently asked to revamp a logo for E.O.D. (also known as Extra Ordinary Delights) a couple in Florida who make amazing handcrafted fudge.

Their branding needed to be stronger, bolder and more in line what their company is all about - being military, patriotic and shouting about the U S of A!

You can find out more about E.O.D (and see their lovely new branding) on their Facebook page.

It was a lovely project to work on (plus we did it all in a 2 day timescale!) - creating a logo, developing artwork for a flyer and designing artwork for their ingredients.

Their fudge looks amazing (we really want to try some!) and it's always fun to do some work for a business in another country - another little bit of Fi & Becs exporting our services!

Broster’s Farm Shop announced on their Facebook page that they needed a new website. They wanted to visually update their old one and also be able to sell their fresh Yorkshire meat online. Rather a lot of local website companies posted on the Facebook page that they could help, so imagine the delight when they chose us to design their new logo and website!

After developing Broster's a lovely new logo, it was time to build their website.

What we love about designing websites like this are the details... The icons used in the headers, the vintage butchers cart line drawing on the footer of the website, the colours that symbolise the different meats.

The difference between using a web developing company and using Fi & Becs is that you get a DESIGNED website. We see websites as interactive brochures, not a templated standard website (which ALL look the same!). We tap into the heart of the brand to ensure that the website is perfect in every detail. In this case we even designed a Wholesale Price List - as we couldn’t bear the thought of just listing prices on a website!

We hope you all like the new website - Broster's meat is amazing:
