Fi first heard of the award winning bookshop Simply Books when she was contacting independent bookshops about her children's books Once Upon a Slime.

After deciding to stock Fi's books (hooray!) Sue and Andrew from Simply Books stayed in contact with Fi, and during general chatter (and some cups of tea) the conversation eventually turned to her other day job - running Fi & Becs Design & Marketing Partnership.

One cup of tea led to another, and eventually we started working with Simply Books on some author event promotion, helping them with their PR and giving them support on Facebook and Twitter. We were delighted when Simply Books asked us to help develop and build their brand new website!

This has been such a lovely website to build! There aren't many places better to spend a day with a laptop than in a lovely bookshop drinking tea surrounded by books... luckily we have spent lots of time in the shop in the last few months getting the website perfect!

Simply Books is such a wonderful place to visit, buy a book or have a homemade cake - we recommend popping in to anyone in the Manchester / Cheshire area!

Take a look at the website, we are very proud of it!

On a chilly weekend in November, we were delighted to be invited down to London to meet with the Marketing Manager at Ark - a network of high-achieving, non-selective schools and one of the country’s top-performing academy groups.

After a great meeting, we were over the moon to be selected by Ark to be on their roster of design agencies, helping them roll out their shiny new branding across a multitude of different marketing materials.

Here's the first piece of design work we have developed with Ark - we're so pleased it looks fantastic in real life! Ark should be very proud of their lovely new branding!

We worked on a newspaper advert for Spencer Gordon Estate Agents last month.

Even though Chris and Ross from Spencer Gordon were happy with their existing website, they realised that when it was presented alongside their new branding and marketing material it was no longer consistent with the visual message they were presenting. So Chris contacted us and asked us to re-do their website

A week later... ta dah! A new website complete with a Twitter feed that was essential for them.

If you have an existing website that you want refreshed, it can actually be a much quicker job than you think - especially if we aren't building all the content from scratch!

We are fond to a glass of wine (or two), therefore it was certainly very easy for us to get excited about developing a brand, website and doing the copywriting for our latest start-up client...

Let us introduce the brand new fantastic wine tasting business: Proviamo Vino!

The brief: Develop a logo and a website for a brand new business who are all about fun, flexible wine tastings. The essence of the brand and website was to be down-to-earth, conversational, friendly, relaxed and all about wine.

Here is some of our wording:

"Down-to-earth wine tastings which are totally tailored to your requirements...

Translate 'Proviamo Vino' into English and you get our ethos: ‘Let’s Try Wine’...

We believe that everyone should drink wine that's worth tasting. That’s why we offer fun, dynamic wine tastings that are all about trying wines that you can actually find on the shelves at your local supermarket.

Quite simply - our passion is to bring supermarket wines to life and help you find fantastic wine which you can buy directly off the shelf."

Take a peek at the website:

A perfect wine-filled activity for a Christmas-do, Birthday party, or even a girly Saturday afternoon!

We are very excitable to announce that the flagship product of our lovely client Knuma can now be found on the Mamas & Papas website and is being stocked in a number of their stores across the UK!

Knuma, who are based in Leeds have a simple purpose to create contemporary nursery products that are effortlessly beautiful and full of life. Their products are modern, gorgeous and designed by Christian who is a dad of three little people (so he knows how kiddies really use things!)

Already being recognised as an exciting addition to the British highchair market, their 4-in-1 Connect High Chair has received considerable interest from both retailers and customers, including winning two exciting awards in the 2014 Loved By Parents Awards:

- Silver in the ‘Best High Chair’ category

- Bronze in the ‘Best Innovative Idea’ category.

We're pretty darn giddy about it, not only because this fabulous company definitely deserve to have their products stocked in such a gorgeous store - but because the seat cushion was designed by us! Take a peek at the High Chair on the Mamas & Papas website.

We love designing a good sign.

So we are super pleased that our client the lovely Waugh Brow Farm Shop have just put up their brand new signs all around their farm!

We adored working on this brand earlier in the year and it's so satisfying to see the logo looking stunning on their shiny new signage - guaranteed to get the Farm Shop noticed by people driving by!

Not only did we design the logo, we also wrote the wording on the sign and designed the artwork for the printer - making the whole process easy peasy for Waugh Brow Farm! Splendid signy signs.

There's not many things we love better than helping a start-up company find their voice, develop a fantastic look and feel for their brand and launch a website they can be really proud of!

Today we have launched the website for Surrey's Little Talkers - a brand new company providing speech and language therapy services for children aged two and upwards in the North and East Surrey area.

The brief: Use the Surrey's Little Talkers logo to design and develop an engaging, friendly and professional website with lots of personality and unique touches.

We have loved working on this website with Fiona from Surrey's Little Talkers! Even though we aren't local to Surrey (as we're both based up North) we have held Skype conference calls throughout the project and feel like we have really got to know Fiona even though we have never actually met (in person!).

Take a look at the Surrey's Little Talkers website:

We would highly recommend Surrey's Little Talkers if you are looking for a children's speech therapist in the North and East Surrey area!

Are you a start-up company or someone thinking of starting a brand new business? Make sure your website really engages your target audience and showcases your company in the best way possible.

Don't settle for a generic template website design... work with Fi & Becs to get a totally bespoke website designed and copywritten just for your company!

P.s. Even though we are Northerners we can work with companies based all over the UK.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a really good blog needs to have a few important things:

- Great content which is interesting, genuine and relevant.

- Up to date articles and current posts.

- An engaging look / feel with a consistent brand and great logo which supports the overall theme of the blog.

Baring these important things in mind... we were very excited to be asked by Daddy Joe Blogs to develop a logo for his new-look blog page!

The brief: A fun, colourful and friendly logo (including the colours green, yellow and blue) to tie in with his blog articles all about being a new Dad and loving football.

A great blog to follow if you're a footie loving Dad!

Do you need a new logo to reinvigorate your blog page, or are you planning on starting a totally new blog? Just contact Fi & Becs for help developing a fantastically great logo that you will love!

P.s. We are really creative, quick and won't cost you loads of money.
