Two sisters. One business. Loads of tea.
Fi & Becs Design & Wording started over a pot of tea and two laptops in 2013.
We're a couple of creative sisters who provide flexible (and friendly) branding, graphic design, copywriting, content strategy and product design services to businesses at a fair price.
Across the years we've worked with over 250 clients. Many businesses have been working with us for ages - we've essentially befriended them with great work and cups of tea.
Based in the North of England, we're proud to have clients all over the UK and across the globe.
Excellent design and professional copywriting doesn't have to cost the earth.
We both work from home (in West Yorkshire and Lancashire) and we're quick (but thorough) at what we do - that means we don't charge expensive agency rates for our work.
We understand independent and medium sized businesses because we've spent years working with them! With a diverse client portfolio ranging from farm shops to fashion brands, charities to housing associations - we pride ourselves on being adaptable and easy to work with. We both started our careers in large corporate organisations (Mamas & Papas for Fi and Co-op for Becs) so we're also used to working with big brands or collaborating with corporate marketing teams.
Before starting work we can provide a quote for the whole project or based on a hourly rate depending on what works best for you. If it's an ongoing project we will keep you updated on how much work we've done and how much it will cost. Simples.
Fi = designer (based in Halifax, West Yorkshire).
Fi is the design guru within Fi & Becs. From product design and branding to awesome artwork and graphic design - Fi is creative, quick, inventive and she can essentially read clients' minds.
Fi graduated with a degree in Design for Industry before starting a career in product design during which she designed luggage and soft goods for numerous well-known brands and retailer made-to-order brands, including TK Maxx and House of Fraser.
Some of the brands that Fi has worked for in her career include Mamas & Papas, Samsonite Nursery, Mothercare, Gelert, Koo-di and McCann Pet Group.
Fi has also written and illustrated a series of children's books called Once-Upon-a-Slime that are available in independent book shops all over the UK. Her experience as a self-published author led her to start an off-shoot book publishing business Fi & Books helping people who want to self-publish their own picture books!

Becs = copywriter + content strategist (based near Clitheroe, Lancashire).
Becs is the word nerd and content strategist within Fi & Becs. Originally working in HR before starting a corporate career in marketing for Co-op, Becs is ridiculously passionate about analysing customer behaviour and creating sales-inducing content that tells stories and captures customers.
Becs has spent over 15 years working as a freelance copywriter and content consultant with fashion, lifestyle and e-commerce brands. Over the years she has has delivered strategic and content-focused projects for Matalan, Cotton Traders, Lake District Hotels, the University of Liverpool, Robinsons Brewery and Manchester Metropolitan University.
Becs worked for four years as a freelance lecturer at the University of Liverpool Management School lecturing and developing courses on corporate communications, brand storytelling, copywriting, digital marketing content, practical marketing skills and marketing trends.
Since 2020 Becs has specialised in creating and strategically managing product, brand and store content on the Amazon marketplace for multiple best selling Amazon FBA brands.
Becs is currently working in an ongoing role as the Director of Strategy and Content for e-commerce Amazon FBA business 7 North so she is not taking on any new clients or projects.
